Accessibility statement
Last updated: 15 October 2026
This statement applies to pharusit.co.uk. We want everyone to be able to use this website, whatever technology or ability they bring to it.
Our commitment
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. Accessibility is part of how the site is built, not an afterthought: every change is checked with automated accessibility testing before it goes live.
What we have done
- The whole site can be navigated and operated with a keyboard, with a visible focus indicator on every link, button and form field.
- Pages use proper headings and landmarks so screen readers can move through them in order.
- Text keeps a contrast ratio of at least 4.5:1 against its background, and colour is never the only way information is conveyed.
- Every form field has a visible label, required fields are marked, and errors are described in words next to the field they relate to.
- Images carry descriptive alternative text, set by us when they are added to the site.
- Text can be resized to 200% and the layout reflows to a single column on small screens without horizontal scrolling.
- No content flashes, and nothing is on a timer except the homepage photo slideshow.

How this site was tested
The site is tested with automated accessibility checks (axe-core) on every page as part of our development process, alongside manual keyboard and screen-reader checks of the navigation, forms and content pages. This statement was prepared on 15 October 2026.
